Lotty's Epic Adventure!
Here are our top 5 US National Parks to visit in 2022!
Celebrate Great Outdoors Month with Slots Lotty this June!
Our very own Lotty, the Slots Capital mascot, spokesperson, and icon, is celebrating Great Outdoors Month by visiting some of the best national parks in the US. From Yellowstone and Yosemite to the Great Smoky Mountains and Grand Canyon, she's checking out the top parks in June 2021 so you know exactly where to go in 2022.
Yellowstone National Park
Located in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho Yellowstone National Park is famous for its rainbow-colored hot springs, the Old Faithful geyser, and a dormant volcano. But perhaps the most awe-inspiring sights come in the form of the animals, which include grizzly bears, elk, and bison, all of which call Yellowstone home. Just be sure to follow in Lotty's footsteps by keeping a safe distance.
Yosemite National Park
The most famous national park in California is Yosemite – and for good reason. The first thing Lotty will see the granite cliffs overlooking what feels like an endless landscape of dense forest. But she's most looking forward to the waterfalls, giant sequoia trees, and glaciers.
One of the coolest parts of Yosemite is the option to dive or hike around the park. You can see a lot of it in the comfort of an automobile – but Lotty is planning to immerse herself in the full experience by exploring some of the 800 miles of walking trails.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Great Smoky Mountains National Park stretches across Tennessee and North Carolina, and it's the number one most popular national park in the US. More visitors come to Great Smoky Mountains than any other, and over 12 million people can't be wrong.
Lotty plans on doing two different activities. The first is, of course, hiking, which is a no-brainer in a place with "mountains" in its name. But she'll also be trying her hand at fly fishing, which means there's a good chance she'll be reeling in a brook trout that's big and healthy enough to cook over a campfire.
Grand Canyon National Park
It's a known fact that more jaws drop at the edge of the Grand Canyon than anywhere else in the world. It's big enough to see from space, and it's one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world – alongside Victoria Falls in Zambia, the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and other reasons to proudly call earth home.
That must be why the Grand Canyon considered an essential buck list item for all US travelers, including Lotty. Her jaw is just days away from dropping next to hundreds of others!
Zion National Park
Zion National Park is one of Utah's many national parks, all of which are worth visiting. But none as much as Zion National Park, where you can experience seemingly every climate of the US—desert, forest, mountains, and valleys—all in one place. No wonder Lotty is making sure to make a stop!
